A new poll released Thursday by Quinnipiac University shows a tight presidential race in Ohio among likely voters.
The poll found that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden slightly leads Republican President Donald Trump 48-47 percent, within the poll’s margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
For a state where President Trump won easily in 2016, the poll suggests a much tighter race this year.
“With six weeks to go until Election Day and most minds made up, Ohio could hinge on a sliver of likely voters who signal they may have a change of heart and the four percent who say they are unsure right now who they’ll back,” said Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Mary Snow. “At this point, it’s a toss-up.”
97 percent of likely voters who selected a candidate in the poll say their minds are made up, with 3 percent saying they might change their minds.
The Quinnipiac University polls surveyed 1,085 likely voters in Ohio.
