Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz on Monday declared the day as “Salvation Army Day” in the city of Tiffin.
“This year has been unlike any other most of us have ever experienced in our lifetimes,” Montz explained on social media. “Organizations like the Salvation Army have been and will be the key to many families surviving while out of work.”
Montz said this year, the Salvation Army campaign aims to “Rescue Christmas” and ensure all families are able to enjoy “full bellies and gifts under the tree.”
“Thank you to Jim and Marcella Hughes and the entire Salvation Army organization for providing assistance to so many Tiffin families,” Montz said.
