A power outage in Downtown Tiffin affected multiple businesses and residents in addition to delaying the Seneca County Commissioners meeting Thursday morning.
AEP Ohio reports that there are at least 510 customers without power in the Downtown Tiffin area as of 11:30 a.m.
The Seneca County Commissioners were scheduled to start their meeting at 10 a.m., but the meeting was delayed due to the power outage. Commissioners Anthony Paradiso and Mike Kerschner left the commissioners office on Madison St. to attend the meeting virtually via Zoom from home.
Champs Barber Shop reported on its Facebook page that their power was also out, adding that it will “hopefully” be back on around noon.
AEP Ohio says the current estimated restoration time is 1 p.m. for some customers, and 2:30 p.m. for others.
