Two Carey residents transported to hospital with injuries following crash in Findlay

FINDLAY, Ohio — Two Carey residents were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital following a vehicle crash in Findlay.

On Tuesday around 1:10 p.m., 40-year-old Erin L. Brickner, of Fostoria, was driving a 2014 Honda CRV northbound on East St. approaching the intersection of E. Main Cross St.

49-year-old Dia K. Seifert was driving a 2008 Ford Expedition and was stopped for stopped traffic ahead of the red light for northbound traffic on East St.

Brickner rear-ended Seifert’s vehicle.

Brickner’s vehicle sustained minor front end damage, and no injuries were reported for Brickner.

Seifert sustained minor rear end damage and both Dia and their passenger, 17-year-old Bailey K. Seifert, also of Carey, were transported by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital for minor injuries.

Brickner was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
