Ohio coronavirus deaths surpass 4,000; total case count up by 1,089




The Ohio Department of Health reported 1,089 new confirmed and probable cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) Wednesday, above the state’s 21-day reported daily case rolling average of 1,013.

The batch of new cases brings the state’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 117,584.

48 additional deaths were reported Wednesday, bringing the state’s total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 4,044.

Hospitalizations are up by 87 compared to Tuesday’s data, making for a total of 13,043 reported hospitalizations statewide.

Admissions to intensive care units are up by 17, with a total of 2,920 ICU admissions throughout Ohio.
