TIFFIN — Madison Street Tavern has announced it will temporarily close its dining room after a member of its kitchen staff tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
MST will offer curbside pickup from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting Tuesday, August 4.
The dining room at MST will be closed for at least two weeks, and owner Chris Chase hopes to open again on Aug. 17.
“The exposed staff have been quarantined and all staff members have been tested,” Chase said. “We are working to clean and sanitize the kitchen and restaurant to ensure everyone’s safety.”
Chase said while the Seneca County Health Commissioner said it would be okay to keep the dining room open, he believes closing temporarily is the safest way to ensure the safety of staff and customers.
“Thank you for all the support!” Chase added.
