A woman not wearing pants was arrested Wednesday after causing a disturbance at a local business.
Deputies with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Clouse Electric Company, 877 E. U.S. 224, for a woman with no pants on asking the employees for help with getting a cab.
Upon arrival, deputies found the woman and began talking to her behind a truck so other employees would not be able to see her with no pants on. They found a dark plastic bag for the woman to cover up with for the time being.
The woman was given the bag and she covered up with it, according to a police report. She then explained that she was staying at the Days Inn at U.S. 224 and State Route 53 in Tiffin. She said she came to the Seneca Motel on U.S. 224 the night prior to visit, and that she was kicked out of the motel room with no pants on after getting into an argument.
One of the sheriff’s deputies asked the woman for her identification, and she stated she didn’t have any. Upon speaking with the woman, another deputy recognized her from a prior incident and asked her for her name to which she replied with her first and last name.
The woman then stated that she believed she had a warrant, so deputies called in her name and were able to confirm that she had a warrant out for her arrest.
Before deputies took the woman to jail for the warrant, they asked if she had any drugs she needed to tell them about. The woman admitted that she had needles and a small baggy in her purse, according to a police report. She admitted to using methamphetamine and stated that the small baggy only had residue in it.
After locating the needles, small baggy, and six one dollar bills, deputies then transported the 39-year-old woman to the Seneca County Jail for incarceration on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug abuse instruments. TiffinOhio.net is not publishing the woman’s name at this time due to the charge being a misdemeanor.
Later in the day, an employee from Clouse Electric called the sheriff’s office to advise them that they had video surveillance footage of the woman on the property around 2 a.m., and that there were pills and items left on the property and possible residue inside one of the trucks at the property.
Sheriff’s deputies found three white pills near the outside air conditioning unit on the property, as well as a sock, a quarter, and a hair tie. Deputies also found another pill in the grass along the same side of the building as the air unit.
It was determined from video surveillance footage that the woman had entered one of the bucket trucks parked at the property. There was residue found inside the truck consistent with the white pills found along the building.
Those items were then packaged as evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
