Tiffin City Council is to hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020, via technology using Zoom. This virtual meeting begins at the new starting time established by Ordinance No. 20-4.

To maintain maximum accessibility, the meeting will be recorded, archived and streamed live through Zoom. Residents can participate at the hearing and join the meeting by computer or mobile device at the following link: https://zoom.us/j/93078491501

A committee of the whole meeting will precede council beginning at 6:15 p.m. and can be viewed at the same link. Until further notice, the Committee of the Whole meetings have been moved up from 6:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. to allow for additional discussion of city issues due to COVID-19.

Additionally, a public hearing with Tiffin City Council will be held during the meeting Monday, July 6, 2020 at 7:45 p.m. via Zoom technology for the consideration of 2021 Tax Budget, Proposed Ordinance 20-72. The ordinance is to adopt a tax budget for Fiscal Year 2021 and directs the Director of Finance to deliver the budget to the Seneca County Auditor on or before July 20, 2020, and declaring an emergency.

Residents can download the Zoom meeting app and join with ID 930 7849 1501. In addition, those who would prefer to call in and listen to the audio of the meeting while it’s occurring, can dial (651) 372-8299 and use the same ID as above.

Tiffin City Council has adapted this format under the provisions of Ohio House Bill 197, as amended, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This ensures the public can participate at hearings and observe and hear the discussions and deliberations of all of the members of Tiffin City Council.

The meeting also will be archived and saved on the City of Tiffin’s website, www.tiffinohio.gov.
