A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Seneca County and much of northern Ohio until 11 p.m. Sunday, according to a notice from the National Weather Service.

Showers are likely and a severe thunderstorm is possible. Some storms could feature damaging winds and heavy rain.

The severe thunderstorm watch advises residents to prepare for possible downed trees and power lines.

There could also be flooded roadways and flash flooding, according to the notice.
