‘Our numbers are steadily climbing’: Seneca County reports a total of 54 COVID-19 cases Staff

TIFFIN — The Seneca County General Health District on Thursday reported eight new positive cases of COVID-19.

“Our numbers are steadily climbing. Please work together as a community,” local health officials wrote in a Facebook post Thursday afternoon.

The total number of cases in Seneca County is now 54.

There have been two deaths, and one person is currently hospitalized in the county with COVID-19.

28 females and 26 males have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Seneca County General Health District.

The age range for the cases remains from 1-year-old to 95-years-old, with an average age of 42.

38 cases are classified as recovered or presumed recovered.

“Wash your hands, social distance from one another, wear a mask. There are several stores in our community that will require masks starting next week, including Kroger & Walmart!” the Seneca County General Health District wrote in a Facebook post.
