The Ohio Department of Health on Wednesday reported 1,396 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The new batch of positive cases reported Wednesday brings the state’s total number of confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases to 87,893.
Deaths increased by 40 over Tuesday’s data, for a total of 3,422 deaths throughout the state.
Hospital admissions are up 128 over Tuesday’s data, making for a total of 10,553 hospitalizations in Ohio.
Admissions to intensive care units increased by 25, with a total of 2,513 throughout the state.
