The Ohio Department of Health reported 1,047 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus Tuesday.
The new batch of positive cases brings the state’s total to 77,215.
Additionally, 30 additional deaths were reported, bringing the death toll in Ohio to a total of 3,219.
Hospital admissions are up 126 over Monday’s data, for a total of 9,736.
Intensive care unit (ICU) admissions increased by 23 from Monday. State health officials report 2,367 total ICU admissions.
Gov. Mike DeWine postponed his Tuesday coronavirus briefing until Wednesday due to a scheduled press conference with the U.S. Attorney’s office regarding the arrests of Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder (R) and 4 associates in relation to a $60 million bribery scheme.
