A Findlay man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday evening in Big Spring Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 35-year-old Jeremy Martinez, of Findlay, was driving a 2005 Honda Shadow westbound on County Road 59.

35-year-old Tiffany Robertson, also of Findlay, was driving a 2020 Ford Fusion eastbound on County Road 59 when she went left of center and off the left side of the road.

Robertson then swerved back into the westbound lane and struck Martinez at approximately 5:25 p.m.

After impact, Robertson drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox before coming to a final rest in the roadway.

Martinez’s motorcycle came to a rest in the westbound lane of CR 59 after he was ejected from the bike.

Martinez was declared deceased at the scene and was transported by the Seneca County Coroner’s Office. Martinez was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. His motorcycle was towed from the scene.

Robertson did not sustain any injuries from the crash. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time. Her vehicle was also towed from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol and/or drug usage being a factor in the crash is unknown as of Monday afternoon.

The Norwalk post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, New Riegel Fire Department, Seneca County EMS, and D&D Towing.
