The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred Sunday morning.
27-year-old Brooke Kimble, of Fostoria, was driving with her 3-year-old son and 5-year-old son northbound on US 23 around 8:50 a.m. when she failed to stop at a red light at US 6.
Kimble’s car was struck by a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Guadalupe Arriaga, of Gibsonburg, who was traveling westbound on US 6.
Arriaga’s car went off the road and struck a pole.
Kimble sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, and was later transferred to ProMedica Hospital in Toledo.
Kimble’s 3-year-old son was transported via helicopter to ProMedica Hospital in Toledo with life-threatening injuries. He is currently in stable condition, according to state patrol.
Kimble’s 5-year-old son did not sustain any injuries and was released to a family member.
Arriaga and a passenger in his vehicle sustained minor injuries.
