Coronavirus cases on the rise in Seneca County as health officials report 84 total cases

TIFFIN — The Seneca County General Health District reported a total of 84 cases of the novel coronavirus Tuesday afternoon, up 15 from Tuesday morning.

Around 8:23 a.m., local health officials reported a total of 69 cases throughout Seneca County, with 25 active cases.

At 3:22 p.m., the Seneca County General Health District reported 84 total cases and 40 active cases.

The number of people who have died with the coronavirus in Seneca County remains at two.

There are a total of 46 females and 38 males that have tested positive in Seneca County.

The age range of those positive cases is from 1-year-old to 96-years-old, according to health officials.

There is currently one person hospitalized in Seneca County with coronavirus complications.

42 of the total cases have recovered, while 40 remain active, according to the Seneca County General Health District.

“Our numbers are steadily climbing. Please work together as a community,” local health officials said in a statement last week. “Wash your hands, social distance from one another, wear a mask.”
