TIFFIN — Rumpke Waste & Recycling will collect up to five bulk items during a curbside cleanup initiative from July 20 to July 24, for no additional fees.
Bulk items must be placed at the curb the night before for pick-up.
“We are excited to partner with Rumpke and offer Tiffin residents the opportunity to dispose of bulk items.” said Dale Thornton, Tiffin City Administrator. “We hope to make the process convenient for residents.”
Rumpke will collect bulk items such as appliances, mattresses, box springs, sofas, large furniture items and children’s toys. Upholstered items including sofas and mattresses must be wrapped in a sealable plastic.
Household hazardous waste such as batteries, paint, tires, pool chemicals, propane tanks and syringes will not be collected. These items pose an immediate fire and safety hazard and potential long-term environmental hazards.
