Tiffin Police Department warns residents about ‘scamming’ company offering to do work in area
The Tiffin Police Department on Monday issued a warning to residents about a Florida-based company that has a “history of scamming customers.”
According to police, HW Asphalt, also known as HW Road Construction, may be offering to do work for residents in the Tiffin area.
TPD is advising residents to avoid doing business with the company.
“This company has a history of scamming customers,” the police department wrote in a post to its Facebook page.
“They fail to complete work, use poor materials and use poor workmanship. Please do your due diligence before working with this company,” police added.
The department cited the company’s listing on the Better Business Bureau website, which shows multiple complaints about incomplete jobs, usage of poor materials, and “tricks.”
