Seneca County Commissioner and former state representative candidate Shayne Thomas (R-Clinton Twp.) was featured in Friday’s installment of “Tiffin Tales,” a program launched by the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library in which business representatives and community leaders read books from the library to kids virtually amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Thomas read “A Tiger Tale” by Mike Boldt in the video, which is available for one week on the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library’s Facebook page.

The program is possible through permission from Simon & Schuster Education and Library for librarians to share picture books during the COVID-19 crisis.

Matthew Ross, director of the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library, commented: “With the virus making it hard for kids to get into the community — let alone the library — we decided to ask leaders in our community to help us bring the library to kids! Many thanks to our friends at Downtown Tiffin for helping us get the word out!”
