Little Caesars workers fired after Ohio couple finds pepperoni swastika on pizza
BROOK PARK, Ohio — Two Little Caesars employees have been fired after an Ohio couple who purchased a pizza at the Brook Park location found a backward swastika formed out of pepperonis.
Misty and Jason Laska said they made the discovery when they opened the box containing the pizza that they had purchased Saturday.
“So my husband stopped at Little Caesars for a quick bite, husband brings this home! I’m truly disappointed,” Misty Laska wrote in a tweet along with a photo of the pizza.
“This is truly saddening and disturbing and not funny at all! These aren’t funny jokes and shouldn’t be made period and on company time?”
Little Caesars Enterprises has released a statement regarding the situation.
“We have zero tolerance for racism and discrimination in any form, and these franchise store employees were immediately terminated. We’re deeply disappointed that this happened, as this conduct is completely against our values,” the company said.
