TIFFIN — The Seneca County Park District announced Monday that they have removed all birdhouses from Clinton Nature Preserve due to vandalism.
According to a post on the Park District’s Facebook page, “recent recurring vandalism” resulted in the loss of all bird nests and eggs at the nature preserve.
The Park District is requesting anyone with information about who may have destroyed the nesting boxes to call the Park District at (419) 447-8091 or the District 2 State Wildlife Officer at (419) 429-8394.
The birds are protected under the Federal Migratory Bird Act, according to the Park District’s post.
