TIFFIN — While indoor movie theaters are still closed amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, Tiffin’s Field of Dreams Drive-in Theater is offering a way to catch some newer releases.
Field of Dreams is one of just 24 drive-in theaters in the state of Ohio, according to owner Donna Saunders.
From Friday, May 15 through Tuesday, May 19, the theater will be airing The Invisible Man (R) and The Hunt (R) on its first screen, and Trolls World Tour (PG) with Onward (PG) on its second screen.
Gates open at 8 p.m. and the first movies start at 9:05 p.m., with the second movies starting at 11:20 p.m. on the first screen and 10:50 p.m. on the second screen at the theater’s location at 4101 N. St. Rt. 53, Tiffin.
The owners say precautions have been put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19; including increasing the distance between cars and additional cleaning and social distancing measures at concessions.
Admission tickets will be sold online for $8 for 1 person in a vehicle, $16 for 2 people in a vehicle, $22 for 3 people and $25 for 4 or more people. Senior citizens are able to receive admission at $12 for 2 seniors in a vehicle. There is a $1 service fee per ticket. Tickets can be purchased here.
