Fostoria Police Division warns residents about spike in vehicle thefts: ‘Please be vigilant’ Staff

FOSTORIA, Ohio — The Fostoria Police Division is warning residents about a recent spike in motor vehicle thefts.

In addition to the warning, the department also offered some common sense tips to help residents avoid having their vehicle stolen.

“Please do not leave your keys in your car or leave it running unattended,” a Facebook post from the Police Division states.

“We have had multiple vehicle thefts in the past two weeks and all of the stolen vehicles either had the keys in the car or the car was running unattended,” the post continues.

“Please be vigilant and do not open yourself up to becoming a victim.”
