Ohio Governor Mike DeWine participated in a wreath laying ceremony on Saturday to honor those who died serving the United States.

DeWine’s office posted a video to YouTube showing the 73-year-old governor carrying a wreath and laying it at Veterans Plaza on the grounds of the Ohio Statehouse.

DeWine then stepped back and took a few moments to reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day.

In addition, DeWine has ordered that all U.S. and Ohio flags be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state from sunrise until noon on May 25, 2020, in honor of Memorial Day.
