Troopers investigating after 21-year-old Tiffin woman sustains serious injuries following crash

SENECA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a one-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred Wednesday at approximately 4:10 a.m.

The crash happened on Township Road 90 near Township Road 99 in Seneca Township, Seneca County.

A 2011 Honda CR-V was eastbound on TR 90. The Honda went off the left side of the highway and struck a sign and a culvert before overturning.

The Honda was being operated by Emily Q. Pursell, age 21, of Tiffin.

Pursell sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital. She was later transferred to Mercy Health Toledo St. Vincent Medical Center.

Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash and safety belt usage is currently unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
