Tiffin University President Lillian Schumacher announced Wednesday that the university will continue all classes through an online modality through the end of the semester.

Schumacher also said “with great regret and sadness” that TU’s 2020 commencement ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, May 2, has been postponed.

“We are working to find another date to hold commencement and celebrate the Class of 2020. We will share that information as it becomes available. We know that this decision is very upsetting for many of you. Commencement is one of our favorite times of the year. Students work incredibly hard to reach this milestone and deserve to be celebrated with friends, professors, families and loved ones. At the same time, the health and safety of our graduates, the employees who prepare for and work during the ceremony, and those that join us to celebrate are all our highest priority,” Schumacher said in a statement.

Diplomas for graduating seniors will be mailed to them approximately 6-8 weeks after final grades are submitted, Schumacher said.
