Texas Roadhouse CEO gives up salary, bonus to pay front-line workers amid coronavirus pandemic

The CEO of Texas Roadhouse is giving up his salary and bonus in order to make that money available for front-line workers amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

CEO W. Kent Taylor has agreed to forgo his base salary and bonus from the pay period of March 18 through January 7, 2021, MarketWatch reported.

The money will be used to pay front-line workers.


In addition, the restaurant chain is suspending dividend payments to shareholders in attempt to conserve cash amid the pandemic.
