TIFFIN — The historic Ritz Theatre is preparing for possible impacts on events due to coronavirus.

Ritz Director Michael Strong announced in a Facebook post that the theatre will be postponing the performance of Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, but will not be canceling or modifying other events at this time.

Strong said the theatre will continue to monitor the situation closely and take precautions.

“One of The Ritz Threatre’s key values is caring for our patrons, artists, volunteers and staff,” Strong said. “Based on current recommendations from the CDC, federal, state, and our local health officials, there have been no scheduling changes to our performances and programs.”

Strong said The Ritz will provide ongoing updates on their website and through social media. They will notify patrons of any specific changes as necessary.

“If you are not feeling well or have a reasonable concern that you’ve come in contact with someone who is ill, please stay home and take care of yourself,” Strong said.
