TIFFIN — The difference between the two Republican candidates for Seneca County Commissioner when it comes to fire and EMS services could not be starker, and local first-responders are making that clear by endorsing current Tiffin City Councilman Tyler Shuff in the race.
“I’m very happy to have earned the endorsement of the Tiffin Fire and EMS Local 322 and many other volunteer firefighters and EMS across all of Seneca County,” Shuff said Friday.
“Having a strong fire and EMS service countywide is a top priority for me. Safety services are key to me and I’ll work together with all of the districts to improve public safety.”
The endorsement for Shuff from Local 322 comes as his opponent in the Republican primary race, Adams Twp. Trustee William Frankart, has faced criticism over his handling of the privatization of EMS services in Adams Township.
The primary election will take place March 17. Whoever wins the Republican primary will go onto the November election unopposed.
