Officers from the Findlay Police Department assisted Findlay Municipal Court officers in serving an eviction at 704 Dayton Ave., Findlay around 4:03 p.m. Monday.

As contact was made with one of the residents being evicted, he barricaded himself in the attic/storage area of a detached garage.

The barricaded male threatened to use a firearm to commit suicide, police said.

The male was also found to have an active warrant out of Findlay Municipal Court.

Officers maintained a perimeter around the garage and began negotiations with the male. After a short time, the male agreed to surrender.
