UPDATE (4:41 PM ET 1/10/2020) : Joanna Gilliam has been found safe. “Thank you for the outpouring of support and thank to all of the emergency personnel who assisted to bringing this young lady back to safety,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
Original Story: The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing 11-year-old girl who is autistic.
Joanna Gilliam is described as 5 feet tall with blonde hair.
She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a Wonder Woman t-shirt, and possibly a rainbow colored jacket.
Joanna walked away from her residence, which is in a heavily-wooded area on State Route 160 in the village of Vinton.
If anyone should see Joanna, please dial 911 immediately.
