Ohio high school student dies from flu complications

An Ohio high school student passed away from flu complications on New Years Eve.

Kaylee Roberts, 16, was hospitalized last week with flu-like symptoms, Fox 8 reported.

Her uncle told Fox 8 that she returned to the hospital with complications, including pneumonia, and had a stroke.

Roberts was a junior at Berea-Midpark High School.

Her family described her as kind, hardworking and intelligent girl who cared deeply about animals, family and friends.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health is investigating the case.
