An 82-year-old man was killed and two others were injured Friday night in a wrong-way car crash in Ottawa County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:17 p.m. on the Edison Bridge on State Route 2 in Danbury Township.

The 82-year-old man has been identified as Burlyn J. Fick, of Port Clinton, a news release from OSP said.

Troopers said that Fick was on State Route 2 heading west in the eastbound lanes and crashed into a 2014 Jeep Wranger head-on.

Two people inside the other vehicle are identified as a 17-year-old boy from Marblehead who was driving and an 18-year-old woman from Norwalk who was his lone passenger.

Troopers say the two suffered incapacitating injuries and were taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.

All three people involved in the collision were wearing safety belts at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
