FINDLAY, Ohio — A Findlay woman shared a shocking story in a viral Facebook post, saying that a man tried to take her daughter at a Walmart parking lot.

“As a mother, I am at a loss,” Findlay mom Leah Hite-Whitehead said in the post that garnered hundreds of shares within an hour.

Hite-Whitehead explained in the post that she was parked at Walmart when her 13-year-old daughter began to exit her vehicle.

She says a man parked beside their vehicle attempted to “take” her daughter into his car.

“She quickly came back to our car and locked the door,” the Findlay mom continued.

Hite-Whitehead said she called the Findlay Police Department to report the incident. It is unclear if an official police report was filed.

“The a–hole who attempted to take my 13 y/o is now gone and will most likely take another child b/c our police who are supposed to protect us were too busy! Please keep your eyes open for a bald, older man driving a red focus. Don’t let it be your child he takes,” Hite-Whitehead wrote in the post.

I would demand to see security tapes. Walmart has cameras EVERYWHERE! Call police and then they can use the information. Also, I would inform Walmart management and security to be on the lookout for that car and man.
