SANDUSKY, Ohio — The first new Chick-Fil-A location of the decade is set to open in Sandusky on Thursday, and customers are already lining up outside for their chance to win free food for a year.
Despite the chilling temperatures, customers have lined up outside the new Chick-Fil-A location, located at 4661 Milan Rd., before its grand opening event on Thursday.
The first 100 guests will receive a digital offer card loaded with a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals.
The restaurant says the 52 meals will each consist of a Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich, medium Waffle Potato Fries and a medium beverage.
The new 5,300 square-foot restaurant features a 130-seat dining room with a two-story indoor playground and free Wi-Fi, along with a 24-seat outdoor patio.
Chick-Fil-A fans have set up their tents and are playing games to pass the time until prizes are awarded in the morning.
Chick-Fil-A will serve breakfast until 10:30 a.m., and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Chick-fil-A locations are closed on Sundays.
The new Sandusky location is Chick-fil-A’s 2,519th location nationwide.
