TIFFIN — Tiffin City Schools, in partnership with Tiffin-Seneca United Way, announced the creation of the Pay It Forward Project on Tuesday.
The project is committed to ensuring that all students have basic needs met. School staff and community members can donate new or gently used clothing, shoes and hygiene items. Families are able to “shop” during designated days/times providing free & essential items they may need, according to a post from TCS.
No item donations are needed right now, as they are stocked and ready for “opening day.” However, donation and store schedules will be shared on a monthly basis. Follow Tiffin City Schools on Facebook or @TCSSocialworker on Twitter for upcoming donation information.
Pay It Forward will provide Columbian students with career experience, job skills, and social skills needed to work in public entities. Families who shop Pay It Forward can also get referrals and information regarding other helpful community resources at the site, according to a post from TCS.
The official Ribbon Cutting event will take place Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 from 12:30-2:30 P.M. The formalities will take place first and then the store will be open for families to shop.
