Seneca County native opens new business in Downtown Tiffin Staff

TIFFIN — After having spent a few years in Columbus, Seneca County native Kassandra Ringle has returned and opened a new business in the historic Laird Arcade, Rose Leaf Flowers.

The business provides flower arrangements for weddings, events and sells “daily arrangements” for birthdays and anniversaries, and has been open at 114 S. Washington St. Suite B since mid-October.

Ringle has been interested in growing and arranging flowers since she was very young, and now has brought those skills as well as ones learned in Columbus to the local area.

She grows some of her plants from her home in Eden Township and uses suppliers from the Columbus area who source from Ohio producers during the warmer months.

Ringle plans to begin offering unique items from local artists that are made or grown in Tiffin in her retail shop. She also has by selling her products at the Seneca County Farmers Market, and she and Melissa Blair have begun to offer paint, craft and arrangement classes out of another space in the Laird called Artsy Rose Craft Studio. The studio is to be open by appointment and for special events.

“There’s so many different events that bring people downtown, and a great community in the Laird Arcade,” Ringle said. “I really like being downtown, there’s just a great vibe here.”

To mark the opening of the store, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, and a Christmas Open House 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, and 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.

“I’m always happy to assist entrepreneurs and small business, especially when they are looking to come back home and relocate in Seneca County,” said Tyler Shuff of Shuff Consulting.

“I’m glad that Kassandra has decided to return to the community and bring her business to Downtown Tiffin,” said Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz. “Rose Leaf Flowers will be a good compliment to the other floral businesses in Tiffin.”
