SOUTH SOLON, Ohio — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found inside a sewage tank in the Village of South Solon on Wednesday.
Authorities have identified the man as James Burl Powers, 34, of South Solon, through an initial investigation, according to Madison County Sheriff John R. Swaney.
Deputies found the white male at the bottom of a drained sewage tank. Investigators and the Madison County Coroner were called to the scene after the discovery, the Columbus Dispatch reported.
Powers was taken to the Madison County Coroner’s office where an autopsy is scheduled to be performed.
Powers was facing domestic violence charges in Madison County at the time of his death, according to court records.
The incident remains under investigation.
