The Seneca County Board of Commissioners will host a special ceremony alongside city of Tiffin officials to honor veteran, former sheriff and former city council member Jim Roberts.

Roberts passed away Sept. 13 at the age of 83.

The event is to include the unveiling of a memorial plaque in Roberts’ honor and is to occur at 1 p.m. November 10 at the gazebo on Frost Parkway.

A prayer will be led by personnel from A Little Faith Ministries, patriotic music will be played by the Tiffin Columbian band and remarks will be delivered by city and county leaders and local veterans.

The Seneca County United Veterans Council, of which Roberts was a member, will be in attendance.

All are welcome, and it’s anticipated that the ceremony should last no longer than 45 minutes.
