Upper Sandusky man ‘in critical condition’ after falling off top of van at Cleveland Browns tailgate party
CLEVELAND, OH (TiffinOhio.net News) — An Upper Sandusky man is in “critical condition” after falling off the top of a van he was standing on at Muni Lot in Cleveland prior to the Browns home opener.
The Cleveland fan, Andy Shepherd of Upper Sandusky, was standing on top of a van – we’re not exactly sure why – and then he fell off. This all happened in the background of a local news telecast.

According to a tweet from Shepherd’s son, Ashton Shepherd, the man is “epileptic and had a seizure while taking pictures” on top of the van. “He has a fractured skull, a shattered shoulder, and 6 broken ribs,” the man’s son said in his tweet.
After he fell, a crowd can be seen gathering around the man as others went to get help.
WOIO learned from Cleveland EMS crews that the man initially refused further treatment, but was eventually transported to the hospital in an ambulance after first responders advised he go.
As of Monday afternoon, a GoFundMe fundraiser for Shepherd had raised over $1,300 of its $2,500 goal to assist with paying for his medical care.
This is a developing story.
