Seneca County driver exam station closed permanently

TIFFIN, OH ( News) — Following the initial report back in August from News that the Tiffin driver exam station would be closing permanently, the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles confirmed that is the case.

The Tiffin driver exam station is permanently closed as of Sunday, September 1.

If you need a knowledge test for CDL, class D, MC, moped, or a skills test for a class D, MC or moped, you are encouraged to visit the Athens, Ironton, or Jackson exam stations.

“The Ohio Department of Public Safety is looking for ways to save money, and closing single examiner stations, like Tiffin is one of the ways,” a source familiar with the situation said.

The nearest driver exam stations are located at:

  • 500 W. State St., Suite E, Fremont
  • 8210 CR 140, Suite C, Findlay
