Senator Portman visiting mental health board in Tiffin

TIFFIN, OH — A press release from the Seneca County Commissioners states that Senator Rob Portman is going to visit the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties today, Wednesday, September 4 from 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

The meeting is at the mental health board office, 1200 N. SR 53. Portman is expected to discuss behavioral health topics with board members and staff.

Some of the specific topics include the PIVOT program, which is a multi-jurisdiction drug court, the lack of spending flexibility for federal grants and the lack of federal mental health resources, especially for mental health prevention and education services.
