Republic Wind project public hearing to take place Thursday at Tiffin University

TIFFIN, OH — The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) has rescheduled hearings regarding Republic Wind, LLC’s application to construct a wind farm in Seneca and Sandusky counties. The local public hearing is scheduled as follows:

Sept. 12, 2019, from 3 to 8 p.m.
Tiffin University, Marion Center
235 Miami Street
Tiffin, Ohio 44883

The purpose of the local public hearing is to allow interested persons, who are not parties to the case, to provide sworn testimony regarding the proposed facility.

The adjudicatory hearing will commence on Oct. 2, 2019, at 10 a.m., in hearing room 11-D, at the offices of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. The purpose of the adjudicatory hearing is for Republic Wind, OPSB staff, and parties to the case to present evidence regarding the facility

As proposed, the Republic Wind Farm would consist of up to 47 wind turbines located in Adams, Reed, Scipio, and Thompson townships in Seneca County and York Township in Sandusky County. The wind farm would have a total generating capacity of up to 200 megawatts.
