trEats, a locally-owned food delivery service, plans to open in Tiffin this month

TIFFIN, OH (TiffinOhio.net News) — Just weeks after DoorDash expanded its nationwide delivery service to Tiffin, a similar service owned & operated right here in Northwest Ohio is also announcing its plan to expand to Tiffin.

trEats is a food delivery service founded by Edward Wonder, a Fostoria native. Wonder says his business originated in Fostoria and has since expanded to Bowling Green and now Tiffin.

“All we really want everyone to know is that we are local, we are by the people for the people,” Wonder said. “We have no restrictions for out of town, we have no hidden fees. We are here to make your transportation, food delivery and grocery shopping easier.”

Wonder says tReats Tiffin, which will be managed by Kyle Snavely, will officially open on August 19th.

trEats will offer delivery Monday-Thursday, 10 AM – 1 AM, Friday and Saturday 10 AM – 4 AM, and Sunday 11 AM – 10 PM.

Customers will pay just a $2 delivery fee to trEats on the grand opening day of the business, August 19th. After that, Wonder says regular pricing will kick in.

The delivery pricing model is based on how much your food order costs. Wonder says orders from $1 to $29 will have a $6 delivery fee, orders from $30 to $80 will have a $8 fee, and orders $81 and above will have a $10 fee.

Wonder says that unlike DoorDash and bigger competitors, trEats does not charge participating restaurants a fee.

“Most importantly, we don’t charge the restaurants. We’re just trying to trEat the world better one city at a time!,” Wonder said of his business. “Any restuarant in Tiffin, Ohio interested in offering delivery through trEats Tiffin contact us.”
