TIFFIN, OH — A Tiffin woman was seriously injured early Saturday morning after she crashed her car into a barn on Ohio State Route 412, causing the barn to become engulfed in flames.

Marisa L. Tschanen, 41, of Tiffin was driving a gray 2016 Chevrolet Malibu west on SR 412 when her vehicle went off the right side of the road, returned to the road, went off the left side of the road, struck a barn and caught fire.

Two witnesses assisted the driver to safety. The barn became fully engulfed in flames.

There were 10-to-15 cows inside the barn at the time of the crash.

Tschanen was taken by Sandusky County EMS to ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont.
