Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival Pageant now accepting applications
TIFFIN, OH — The Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival is now accepting applications for its annual pageant.Â
All applicants must be a resident of Seneca County, must prepare a 3-5 minute speech on Tiffin or Seneca County, and must wear Victorian, historical, or speech related attire. Contestants will be interviewed by judges and will be judged on speech delivery, interview, appearance, and personality.
Age groups include Miss, post-secondary; Queen, grades 9-12; Princess, grades 6-8; Junior Princess, Grades 4-5; Petite Princess, grades 2-3; Tiny Princess, grades K-1. New this year is Prince, grades K-12.Â
By entering the pageant, contestant agrees to represent the Festival and participate in activities throughout Festival weekend along with other Ohio festivals, parades, and activities throughout the year.
There is no entry fee. Print a pageant application at tiffinfestival.com/pageant.
The Pageant is to be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 20 at the Chandelier Community Event Center, 151 S. Washington St. The parade is 10:30 a.m. Sat., September 21 and the Heritage Festival Pageant Luncheon will follow the parade at 12 p.m. at Pioneer Mill of Tiffin, 255 Riverside Drive.
Pageant attendees are invited to the Queen’s Heritage Ball at 7:30 p.m. Sat. September 21 at Tiffin Community YMCA, 180 Summit St. Join us for the Queen’s Heritage Ball: an evening of 19th Century music and dancing! Learn how to dance the Virginia Reel, the Waltz, and the Polka like our ancestors did. Historic dress is encouraged, but not mandatory. Please, no heels.Â
