Tiffin Historic Trust plans Behind the Facade walking tour featuring local academic architecture
The Tiffin Historic Trust is planning another of its Behind the Façade walking tours for Sunday, September 22, 2019, the final day of the Heritage Festival, 2:00-5:00 pm. Â
Academic Architecture I, from Carnegie to Campus will feature the corridor from downtown Tiffin to Heidelberg University.Â
The newly appointed East Market streetscape, from National Corner to the East Green, connects the old Carnegie Library (formerly Juvenile Court) to the college.Â
The Carnegie Library and six of Heidelberg’s historic buildings will be open for touring, including Aigler Alumni Building (the former College Hill School), Beeghly Library, Pfleiderer Hall (another former Carnegie Library), University Hall (with Rickly Chapel), Bryenton Honors Center (the former president’s home), and Adams Hall (formerly Laird Science Hall).
Refreshments at the new Heidelbean!, corner of Greenfield St. and Rebecca St., are included in the $10 donation.Â
Tickets will be available at Simply Susan’s after September 5, or on the day of the tour at the Carnegie Library (Jefferson St and E. Market St.) and at the Aigler Building (295 E. Market St. entrance). Â
