Tiffin Driver’s Exam Station could be set to close this month: source
TIFFIN, OH (TiffinOhio.net News) — According to a source, the Tiffin Driver’s Exam Station could be closing later this month due to budget cuts from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
Dale Depew, editor of Seneca News Daily, a local email newsletter that publishes press releases and other commentary, says he heard a rumor that the Driver’s Exam Station in Tiffin will be closing on Saturday, August 17.
“The Ohio Department of Public Safety is looking for ways to save money, and closing single examiner stations, like Tiffin is one of the ways,” Depew said.
TiffinOhio.net News reached out to the Ohio Department of Public Safety to verify these claims, but a spokesperson said “no announcements will be made until the closure is official.”
“If Tiffin were to close, parents would need to take their students to Fremont, Findlay, Norwalk or Bucyrus to do their drivers test,” Depew said.
This is a developing story.
