Sandco Industries, a local life and work opportunity enhancement organization based in Clyde, has announced the opening of a new office in the historic Laird Arcade Building to better serve the Tiffin community.
The office will have a variety of staff who are to be set up by Aug. 15, but Sandco is seeking referrals now. Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership aided with the search for a new office.
Sandco Industries is a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited, private non-profit company that offers services to individuals with disabilities by providing volunteer opportunities, access to club memberships and planning outings such as sporting events and various community activities.
Sandco also provides placement for hourly and piece-rate jobs. Established in 1963, Sandco focuses on its mission “to provide meaningful, integrated life and work opportunities while also providing high quality and cost competitive products for our customers.”
“We already have a presence in the Tiffin market, and we look forward to continuing to grow that and provide opportunities for employers and our clients in Seneca County,” said Megan Craun, CEO of Sandco Industries.
Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz thanked Craun for making the decision to expand into the Tiffin market. “I’m happy to see an organization like Sandco choosing to make its place in Tiffin and in the Downtown.”
Ty Shuff of Shuff Consulting assisted Sandco in finding their new home in Downtown Tiffin. “I’m excited to have them be part of the community and hope they find success in the Tiffin market.”
