Troopers investigating man’s death after Sandusky County motorcycle accident

SANDUSKY COUNTY, OH (TiffinOhio.net News) — A man died in a motorcycle accident in Sandusky County on Saturday, which is now under investigation by Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to a statement from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Roger Cox, 56, was driving a 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on US 6, approaching a roundabout.

Cox failed to handle the curve of the roundabout properly, and his motorcycle went off the left side of the road onto the raised brick median. The motorcycle then went off the median onto the roadway and struck a curb, according to OSHP.

Cox, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was reported around 12:20 am on Saturday.
