Police: Robber tosses firecracker into McDonald’s drive-thru, steals cash

TOLEDO, OH (TiffinOhio.net News) — A brazen robber allegedly threw a firecracker into a McDonald’s drive-thru window, then climbed through the window and grabbed the cash drawer from the register.
Police say the incident happened at the McDonald’s at 567 E. Manhattan, Toledo.
Police are now on the lookout for the man who pulled off the brazen theft overnight, at about 3:45 AM Saturday, July 13, 2019.
According to the crime log, the suspect apparently used a firecracker to distract and frighten the McDonald’s workers before he climbed through the window, stole cash, then climbed back out of the building and escaped via the drive-thru.
